Our Team

Joseph Massaro is the Network Director for Money Concepts and heads its Financial Planning Center in Wethersfield, CT.  Since 1983, Mr. Massaro has been in the financial services industry and specializes in Advanced Planning, Development, Wealth Management, Retirement Planning and Lump Sum Distributions.  With Money Concepts since 1995 and taking over the Network in 1999, he has increased the region from 3 to 40 representatives in 17 locations.  He has also developed a relationship with financial institutions to offer financial services to customers and employees.

“I understand people don’t have the time to properly research their investment alternatives, and as a result, miss opportunities for tax savings, or simply put off making decisions at all.  I structure my clients’ portfolios to provide the return potential they require at a risk level they can live with.  I pride myself on giving clients personal service and using products from quality companies. 

Money Concepts provides exceptional ongoing training and has a corporate philosophy in line with my own.  Since it is not tied to any one financial institution or product, Money Concepts International provides totally independent financial planning services.  Together we offer clients a wealth of resources to provide them with knowledge and assistance in developing and maintaining their financial plan.
Our advance planning techniques allow the representatives to meet multiple client needs.  My role is to ensure these representatives continue to grow their businesses, and to provide them with the most current financial services industry training,  knowledge and experience. 

Joe Graduated from the University of Connecticut at Storrs in 1983 with a Bachelors of Arts & Economics. 
He also attended State University of New York at Albany in 1987 where he graduated with a degree from the Credit Union Management School.
Since 2002 he holds the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation (granted by the College of Financial Planning)

Frederic joined Money Concepts in 2002 after spending 11 years in the corporate business world. It was his Financial Advisor and current Network Director for Money Concepts “Joseph Massaro” that introduced him to the company, its values and beliefs. Joe has been his mentor and coach and has helped Frederic in becoming the advisor he is today. Frederic brings with him a personal and holistic approach to Wealth Management where he works side by side with the client helping them to achieve their goals.

Born in Belgium and raised in Belgium and France, he moved to the United States in 1990. Frederic earned his MBA in International Management from the Monterey Institute of International Studies, in California in 1991. He has a son and a daughter - Sebastian and Lauren and after traveling the world for business, they settled in Connecticut in 1997.

In his local community he has been active as the Scoutmaster and Eagle Advisor for Boy scout Troop 68 in Farmington. He has also been active as the Vice President of the Unionville Village Improvement Association. In his free time, he enjoys playing tennis and working in the yard and garden.

Lynn has been an invaluable part of our team since 2010. In addition to keeping the office running smoothly, she handles account setup and records, scheduling appointments, tracking activities and keeping Joe Frederic and Rob on task. Her cheerfulness and efficiency keep the office running smoothly, and clients happy.

Nick Amendolara is a Long Island, New York native with a lifelong passion for business, entrepreneurship, and helping others pursue meaningful goals. He attended Chaminade High School and continued his education at Fordham University, where he enrolled in the Gabelli School of Business. Nick graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, concentrating in Finance and Entrepreneurship.

Following his time at Fordham, Nick became the General Manager of Well Strung Guitars, home to one of the world’s most valuable and rare public guitar collections. Over the course of his career, Nick has earned the trust of clients for more than 15 years—an approach rooted in transparency, craftsmanship, and long-term relationships.

Nick’s entrepreneurial journey began early. In 2008, at just 13 years old, he encountered a newly issued Van Halen guitar priced at $25,000—well out of reach at the time. Determined, Nick set out to build his own. After several iterations (and a few bandages from woodshop class), he successfully recreated the instrument. He sold that guitar to fund the next, and soon clients began commissioning custom projects. What started as a personal challenge evolved into a global small business, serving clients worldwide and culminating in a guitar placed on permanent display at the Guitar Legends Hall in Barcelona.

In 2023, while preparing for marriage and planning to purchase a home, Nick took a step back to focus on his own financial planning. Through that process, he discovered a deep appreciation for the structure, strategy, and purpose behind thoughtful financial decision-making. Inspired to align his professional path with his academic background, Nick transitioned into finance.

After earning his securities licenses and spending a year with J.P. Morgan Chase, Nick began his advisory career with Money Concepts International, where he now helps clients pursue their financial goals through holistic, independent planning. His approach is rooted in education, clarity, and personalized strategies—designed to help clients move forward with confidence at every stage of life.
