Irmarie Mercado EA, NTPI Fellow, CB is Chief Operations Officer of Gilbert Mercado Financial Services Inc. and Money Link Financial Services Inc., a financial services company which provides services including, but not limited to bookkeeping, payroll, business planning and consultation, and income tax preparation, planning and representation. She is also responsible for the oversight of the company’s business services division and income tax division that operate under the Amistad Taxes Plus and Liberty Tax brands. Under the Liberty Tax brand, the company operates year-round locations within the Del Rio community.

Irmarie has obtained the Internal Revenue Service’s Enrolled Agent (EA) designation and is considered to be an expert in the field of taxation. As an enrolled agent she can not only assist our clients with their income tax preparation and planning, but she can also assist in representing clients in matters pertaining to taxation with the IRS. Her expertise in tax representation was also reinforced by her completion of the NTPI Fellow designation. This designation issued by the National Tax Practice Institute focuses on matters pertaining to representation of tax payers before the Internal Revenue Service.

She has also completed coursework from the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers and earned the Certified Bookkeeper (CB) designation. In addition, she has completed many courses and programs regarding taxation offered by Liberty Tax, H&R Block and many more. She continues to increase her knowledge in the financial industry by ensuring attendance of continuing education, certification courses and expanded training opportunities. She is a member of the National Association of Tax Preparers, American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers and the National Society of Accountants.

Irmarie is an active member of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the Del Rio Chamber of Commerce. She is also active in assisting in the efforts of the Relay for Life, St. Jude Children’s Hospital and other non-profit organizations throughout the Del Rio Community.  She also serves as a Director for the Texas Society of Enrolled Agents (TxSEA) and as a Director for the San Antonio Chapter of the Texas Society of Enrolled Agents. She has also served both organizations as Treasurer and has assisted in various committees including the Annual Convention Planning Committee. She was recently selected as the 2023 Enrolled Agent of the Year by TxSEA. In 2018, she was also selected as the Del Rio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Business Woman of the Year.

Irmarie, her husband Gilbert, and their four children reside in Del Rio, Texas. She enjoys scrapbooking, reading and spending time with her family.

Brittany Reyes is the admin assistant to Gilbert Mercado. She answers his telephone calls, sets appointments for his clients, and helps him with any tasks he asks of her. While working at Money Concepts, Brittany has completed various admin trainings on line. She will pursue the life and health insurance license.

Brittany has experience in retail business and has been an account manager. She attended SWTCS and completed the cosmetology program. She needs one more state exam and she will be fully licensed cosmetologist.  

Brittany is married to her husband of three years. She has 3 children total they have seven kids. She is fully dedicated to her children and their sports. She volunteers as the team mom and enjoys being a part of all her children’s extra-curricular activities. She also coaches the Chiefs cheerleading squad she has coached them for six years. On her free time, she enjoys being with her family.

Mario A Rodriguez completed his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, TX. He is currently the Marketing Director for Money Concepts Financial Planning Centre in Del Rio, TX. He also oversees the marketing department for Money Link Financial Services Inc. and Gilbert Mercado Financial Services Inc. He manages all aspects related to the production and implementation of any given campaign, as well as exposes the firm and builds brand awareness.

Mario is a talented graphic designer with experience in branding, packaging, editorial, poster, and web design. During his education at the university, he became part of the Campus Activities Board as Marketing Director, coordinating events, creating flyers, and social media graphics. After graduating, he began working as a Graphic Designer for Alamo Saddlery. Later, he transitioned to Laughlin Air Force Base as a Marketing Assistant. Then he transitioned to Livingstone Worship Center as a Graphic Designer. He gained valuable experience in retail, event planning, impactful graphics, social media marketing, and website development.

He obtained an award from the Flux Student Design Competition hosted by AIGA Blue Ridge for his Blackthorn Books Stationary in 2017. Then in 2018, he was awarded the Bronze ADDY for his Flow Newsletter by the American Advertising Federation.

Mario enjoys spending quality time with friends and family. Not only does he have a passion for design but also photography. He is an active member of Livingstone Worship Center as a photographer for the Media Team.
